GeekyCon Review

I went to GeekyCon 2015 in Orlando, Florida this past weekend. If you have never been or heard of it you should look it up and go. I highly recommend going it is an amazing experience. It was orginally called Leakycon. The name may have changed but the heart of the convention is still Harry Potter.

Now Geekycon isn't know for a bunch of famous actors and sneak previews or anything like that. It's a celebration of fandoms coming together and being able to meet up and talk about geeky topics. It's a safe place where you can speak your mind and be yourself with no judgment. Which I think is a really amazing and wonderful thing to be a apart of.

They always have a huge variety of meets ups and panels and main stage events. That I had something planned back to back every hour from 9 am to 8 pm. It's a jam packed 4 day event.

The market place isn't as big as most conventions. But they always have unique and interest things for sale. Things like hogwarts combined house shorts to butterbeer truffles. And you can not go to Geekycon with out getting a snitch which from the Harry and the Potters stand.

Who are Harry and the Potters you may ask? There is such a thing called Wizard Rock! It's Potter fan bands singing about the books and movies and characters. It is also a great convention to see Team Starkid. They created A Very Potter Musical. As well as Holy Musical Batman, Twisted, and Starship.

I just want to say it was such a great experience and it was my third year in a row going. It never gets old and everyone is so friendly and accepting of everyone there.

Get your Geek on at GeekyCon! I dare you.

That same night after the dance was the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child midnight release party! Potter Puppet Pals did a show, there was real life wizard chess, quid ditch matches, costume contests, being sorted by the sorting hat, and much more to do. Tea Cup // Outfit Of The Day

I went to a tea room for lunch and this outfit inspired by English rose gardens and those pretty bone china floral tea cups. The back of the dress is open so I work a bralette that is a pastel pink and lace one. It went with the whole English tea room theme of the outfit and for the tea room we went to. The dress is white with pastel pink painted ross on it. I got it last year at Forever 21 and I don't think they sell this dress anymore. I really love the shape and color of the dress. I didn't want any shoes that took away from the dress so I paired this outfit with my nude flats I got at a boutique in California. The purse is by Betsy Johnson and I love wearing this with pastel outfits. It has a black bow and a pink fluff ball on the side. Gold chain and black straps. Its a fake leather with little black hearts. This has been one of my go to purses right now. Make sure you checked my previous blog post about the tea room I went to (The Twisted ...

Words To Eat By: Letrentehuit Brassiare

When we went to the Eiffel Tower we found a traditional french style restaurant called Letrentehuit Brassiare. I can't tell you exactly what street it was on but it was very close to the Eiffel Tower. The service was a little weird and my mom and I couldn't help but laugh at how it was run. But it was a great dining experience. My entree was a traditional cheese crepe with a side salad. It was a french cheese where I'm not sure what kind of crepe they used. It was brown, as you can see in the photo, and it had a more savory taste it. I really wanted a crepe to eat in France and a savory one was a great choice. I also had a glass of french rose wine and of course the bread was a baguette.  Dessert was the best part. Which isn't a surprise being in Paris. I thought it would be best to get a small dessert sampler. Top left was a pistachio mousse., top right was a chocolate mousse, bottom right was a toffee mousse, and the bottom left is clearly a creme bru...
