Europe 3: A Day in Paris

My mom and I had one day to see all the sights in Paris. We did the Faxity hop-on hop-off bus tours so we could see everything before getting on our train that night to Venice. If you want to see the sights in Paris then keep reading and looking! As you might be able to tell I was really sick when we went to Paris. I had an awful cold but I wasn't going to let it get in the way of seeing all the amazing sights. Like Notre Dame, which you may think of the Disney movie. And sadly there wasn't talking gargoyles on the top of it. It was really pretty to just look at and to see something that has been around for so many years. Next stop on the tour bus was the Arc De Triomphe. Which also holds the tomb of unknown soldier. I won't go into a history lesson about this monument but I do recommend learning about it. The tomb is a very interesting story. You do learn about it as well if you have a sight seeing bus with audio sets. Last but certainly not le

Europe 2: Harry Potter Studio Tour

I am a huge Harry Potter fan. To explain this I won most likely to go to Hogwarts my senior year of high school. And people I didn't even really know told me they voted for me. Because my friends did tie Thursday's at our school and I always wore a slytherin polo with my slytherin tie.  To show off my slytherin pride of course. Did I mention that I am a slytherin? Words can't really explain how amazing the studio tour is. But I will try to sum it up and show photos for you. More photos are on my Facebook page Jessy Jenkins. Something amazing happened at the very start. I was wearing a birthday pin on my shirt so I got to open the doors to the great hall set which was incredible. I almost cried. I was so excited when I opened the door I accidentally banged it on the wall. Oops! It's so amazing to walk on a set of a movie you cherish and love so much. I honestly can't explain how I felt walking in the great hall. It was a dream come true. Then

Words to Eat By: Jamie's Italian

While staying with my Cousin she took me to Kingston for some shopping and really wanted to treat me to a lovely dinner at Jamie's Italian. Jamie's Italian is owned by the chef Jamie Oliver who you may have seen on food network or cooking channel. The restaurant is very lively and bright and has a wonderful atmosphere. Everything is cooked fresh and the pasta is all made in house. We started with Wine, which I got the house Rosato which means Rose in Italian. In the menu it is described as lively and crisp with sweet raspberry and strawberry flavors. We also got bread served with olive oil and olive tapenade and a starter of pork scratchings. My main was the Summer Truffle Risotto. On the menu it is described as  Oozy carnaroli risotto rice with creamy gorgonzola, fresh black summer truffle, Parmesan & breadcrumbs. I can only describe it is amazing and delicious. I ate the entire thing and wished I could eat it all over again. The flavor combination was just pe

Words to Eat by: Chez Antoinette

I went to Covent Garden with my mom in London and found a cute rustic French cafe. They sold mostly cheeses and some meats. They did expresso drinks and wine which is all my mom and I needed. When you sat inside you almost felt like you were in Paris. I had a glass of Rose wine which was delicious like usual when I drink wine I enjoy it. For food I got an open face sandwich was basically cheese on toast since it was one piece of bread. Which I didn't mind because this was so good! The one I got was warm goat cheese, honey, and blueberries which is in the photo below. Goat cheese is my favorite cheese and I love when I am in Europe most places sell it. The other open faced sandwich in the photo is the one my mom got. Which was a three cheese and pear. Hers was also a warm one with goat cheese, blue cheese, and brie cheese. It was really good but I think mine was better. Since I ate the entire thing which is so unlike me. But just look at it. It looks so good! At the

Europe 1: A day in London

Hello Everyone, I am on a Europe trip with my mom and decided to blog and do youtube posts about my days including: Food, Outfits, Shopping, and just sight seeing. Today was the first official day in England and we decided to take the train to London. I would tell you all the stop and everything about the train, bus and underground. But I honestly have no idea what the name of any of the stops were. But this Day Travelcard is such a great deal. For the two is it was about 24 pounds total. It works for the trains, buses, and underground all day which was a life saver. We did use all three ways of transport. If you do have the option between bus and underground and you have the time take the bus. It's so cool to sight see on the bus and we found a stop that we didn't plan which I will talk about later. We did have a rough start but we eventually got on a bus and got off and walked across the Tower Bridge. Which had a lot of detail and so beautiful.  You can se
