Magic Kingdom Tips to make sure you have a Magical Day \\ Floidians Guide to Orlando

Magic Kingdom Summer Vacation Tips!

It's your favorite Orlando local expert JessyJen here to give you some tips to make sure your day at Magic Kingdom as magical as it can be. This is what I do and would advise anyone to do to make the most out of your day.

  1. Purchase your tickets in advance or at your hotel at least a day or two before you plan to visit the park..
  2. Download the My Disney Experience app and set up your fast passes. Each ticket has 3 fast passes for the day so choose the bigger rides such as Space Mountain or the Mine Train.
  3. Get familiar with the app and research all the dinning options available in the park to see what works with your budget.
  4. RESERVATIONS! Make a dinning reservation in advance before you come to eat at any of the full service restaurants in the park. You do not need a ticket to make a reservation but you do need to use a credit card to hold your reservation.
  5. Get to the park early. Magic Kingdom actually takes a really long time to get into to park, so give yourself about 30 minutes from parking to entering the park. They do have a morning show before the park opens in front of the castle and they start letting guest in the gate 30 minutes before rope drop! (Remember to take a photo of where you parked so you don't spend time at the end of the night looking for your car)
  6. Make sure you grab the entertainment guide and the park map to know what is going on that day in the park and to have the updated show times for that day.
  7. The busiest rides are Seven Dwarf's Mine Train, Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, and Peter Pan. I recommend trying to do those rides first in the morning before they get up to their 100+ minute wait times. (You could ride up to 6 rides in the first 3-4 hours of being there at park open)
  8. Make sure you plan before hand the characters you want to meet and where they are in the park because their wait times can get just as long as the attraction times.
  9. FIREWORKS and PARADES you should get there about 45 minutes-an hour before it starts to guarantee a spot where you can see them. Standing up top at the train station is a great spot for the parade and fireworks.
  10. Leaving the park can be a pain and can take you almost an hour or longer to get to your car or to your hotel shuttle. The busiest time of leaving the park is right after the fireworks and of course right at park close. Try leaving 30 minutes before the park closing to avoid those crowds or before the fireworks start. PRO TIP: walk to the contemporary and get on the hotel monorail because it also stops at the ticket and transportation center which is where the parking lot is found..
This is my best advise I can give to you to make your Disney day magical. I hope this helps anyone planning their day at Magic Kingdom this summer. Remember that Magic Kingdom is the busiest of the four Walt Disney World Resort parks. Tea Cup // Outfit Of The Day

I went to a tea room for lunch and this outfit inspired by English rose gardens and those pretty bone china floral tea cups. The back of the dress is open so I work a bralette that is a pastel pink and lace one. It went with the whole English tea room theme of the outfit and for the tea room we went to. The dress is white with pastel pink painted ross on it. I got it last year at Forever 21 and I don't think they sell this dress anymore. I really love the shape and color of the dress. I didn't want any shoes that took away from the dress so I paired this outfit with my nude flats I got at a boutique in California. The purse is by Betsy Johnson and I love wearing this with pastel outfits. It has a black bow and a pink fluff ball on the side. Gold chain and black straps. Its a fake leather with little black hearts. This has been one of my go to purses right now. Make sure you checked my previous blog post about the tea room I went to (The Twisted ...

Words To Eat By: Letrentehuit Brassiare

When we went to the Eiffel Tower we found a traditional french style restaurant called Letrentehuit Brassiare. I can't tell you exactly what street it was on but it was very close to the Eiffel Tower. The service was a little weird and my mom and I couldn't help but laugh at how it was run. But it was a great dining experience. My entree was a traditional cheese crepe with a side salad. It was a french cheese where I'm not sure what kind of crepe they used. It was brown, as you can see in the photo, and it had a more savory taste it. I really wanted a crepe to eat in France and a savory one was a great choice. I also had a glass of french rose wine and of course the bread was a baguette.  Dessert was the best part. Which isn't a surprise being in Paris. I thought it would be best to get a small dessert sampler. Top left was a pistachio mousse., top right was a chocolate mousse, bottom right was a toffee mousse, and the bottom left is clearly a creme bru...
