Things to know before your Orlando Summer Vacation \\ Floridians Guide

I deal with a lot of guest at work who don't fully research things they need to know before coming on vacation here in Orlando. I would love to explain so key points for you if you are planning a vacation here so you can make to most out of your trip.

  1. It rains almost every day in Orlando during the summer. We are the lightening capitol of the world here in Orlando. We also don't get the storms all day but they will be either afternoon or evening storms.
  2. All attraction areas are not close to each other. Disney and Universal are about 25 minutes apart in a car or taxi. SeaWorld is about 15-20 from the other attractions and Busch Gardens is in Tampa which is about an hour drive. Kennedy Space Center is also about an hour drive as well. LEGOLAND is about 45 minutes away from Disney Resort Area.
  3. Universal and Disney are completely separate companies and parks. You cannot buy package tickets with both parks they sell their tickets separate. I do get asked about them being the same company a lot and I assure you they are not.
  4. Pack very thin and light clothing for the humidity here. Orlando has such high humidity you will be sweating like a sinner in church walking around the parks. Remember to bring summer clothing that are lighter colors to stay cool. Also don't forget to wear sunblock because you will get burnt no matter what you think. UV rays are very, very high here in Orlando.
  5. Make sure you research what you are interested seeing here in Orlando before booking hotels to see if any hotels have special offers on your tickets if you book with them. Also with checking prices on tickets and other attractions here. I have so many guest who come up to me not realizing how much park tickets are here in Orlando.
  6. Make a budget for your vacation before coming down to Orlando. Going off of number 5 there for know the prices on the park tickets  is to make sure you plan a budget for yourself. This is an expensive vacation and don't try to rush this trip if you are not ready. Save up money and make this once in a life time vacation as amazing as it can be.

Tea Cup // Outfit Of The Day

I went to a tea room for lunch and this outfit inspired by English rose gardens and those pretty bone china floral tea cups. The back of the dress is open so I work a bralette that is a pastel pink and lace one. It went with the whole English tea room theme of the outfit and for the tea room we went to. The dress is white with pastel pink painted ross on it. I got it last year at Forever 21 and I don't think they sell this dress anymore. I really love the shape and color of the dress. I didn't want any shoes that took away from the dress so I paired this outfit with my nude flats I got at a boutique in California. The purse is by Betsy Johnson and I love wearing this with pastel outfits. It has a black bow and a pink fluff ball on the side. Gold chain and black straps. Its a fake leather with little black hearts. This has been one of my go to purses right now. Make sure you checked my previous blog post about the tea room I went to (The Twisted ...

Words To Eat By: Letrentehuit Brassiare

When we went to the Eiffel Tower we found a traditional french style restaurant called Letrentehuit Brassiare. I can't tell you exactly what street it was on but it was very close to the Eiffel Tower. The service was a little weird and my mom and I couldn't help but laugh at how it was run. But it was a great dining experience. My entree was a traditional cheese crepe with a side salad. It was a french cheese where I'm not sure what kind of crepe they used. It was brown, as you can see in the photo, and it had a more savory taste it. I really wanted a crepe to eat in France and a savory one was a great choice. I also had a glass of french rose wine and of course the bread was a baguette.  Dessert was the best part. Which isn't a surprise being in Paris. I thought it would be best to get a small dessert sampler. Top left was a pistachio mousse., top right was a chocolate mousse, bottom right was a toffee mousse, and the bottom left is clearly a creme bru...
